By drawing together the views of an individual’s manager, peers and direct reports to produce a combined review of performance, 360 degree feedback systems can help individuals to understand how they are perceived by colleagues and provide valuable information for personal development planning.
Cubiks has now taken the 360 degree concept and developed the Cubiks Multi-Rater Assessment. This is a highly flexible online instrument that provides employers with a structured framework to identify the strengths and development needs of their employees. Delivered via the Cubiks Online platform, the Cubiks Multi-Rater Assessment comprises two innovative formats:
MRA-S (Scale)
Adopting a conventional (Likert) scale approach, MRA-S allows reviewers to score individuals against a range of different competencies which are established at the design stage of the project. At the end of the assessment, participants are able to see how they have been scored on each competency by the different rater groups. The MRA-S option allows organisations to benchmark individuals across teams, divisions or the organisation as a whole.
MRA-I (Ipsative)
MRA-I is a new type of Multi-Rater Assessment that takes an ipsative (forced-choice) form. The MRA-I format enables organisations to conduct short, focused MRA assessments that rank or order the participant’s key strengths and priority development needs. Adopting user-friendly 'drag and drop' technology, MRA-I assessments are quicker to complete and interpret than conventional 360 assessments and are ideal for use in situations when the time availability of the participants and reviewer groups is likely to be limited. By rank ordering the strengths and development needs of individuals, MRA-I assessments also enable participants to quickly focus on their development priorities.
